Overview

The Esplanade fishing spot is located in Oneroa/Blackpool on the gravel road called The Esplanade. The fishing spot is easy to get to and is accessed on foot. Locals have caught kahawai here.

The main area to fish is closer to Surfdale entrance of the road, there is a corner that has been allocated for fishing with a few seats to sit at, it can be quite popular for casual fisherman.

snags can also occur but that’s just the fun of rock fishing.

Access Information

The best way to access The Esplanade fishing spot is enter onto Esplanade Road from (Lannan Road) in Surfdale. The fishing spot is straight ahead on the first corner of the scenic road.
