On The Hunt Charters is a fishing charter company, that specialises in small group charters, half or full day fishing trips with a choice of shared or private tours around Waiheke Island.
It is a locally owned family business, proud owners are Leon and Adelaide.
Owner and skipper Leon is a 3rd generation “Waihekean”, born and raised on Waiheke he has spent his whole life fishing around Waiheke and the Hauraki Gulf. Leon has extensive experience and knowledge of how to not only enjoy fishing, but the thrill of catching that ‘big one’. He is also a strong supporter of major conservations. Leon aims to teach his customers to respect the ocean and its wildlife by teaching the catch and release regime.
Their charter boat is a custom made 2018 Surtees 750 Gamefisher. Which is launched at Matiatia Wharf.
Their charters offer everything you could want to make your New Zealand fishing adventure perfect: stunning scenery, a friendly and experienced skipper, custom boat, supplied bait and tackle, and of course some of the best fishing in New Zealand.
