Waiheke Island Community Cinema is a the island’s cinema, showing over 20 screenings every week showing the latest movies and some of the old classics.
Waiheke Cinema is located in Oneroa, It is a charitable trust run by dedicated locals and volunteers.
The cinema is a cozy 50-seat venue boasting an enchanting atmosphere filled with plush sofas donated by the community. It’s a place where contemporary art-house gems and thrilling blockbusters come to life, captivating both residents and visitors.
It is also a community space for fundraising events and special interest screenings.
The cinema has been around for over 20 Years now. It is available for hire for birthdays, private screenings and community group fundraisers. -Hireage includes 2 hours with a projectionist and front-of-house volunteer.
They have a small range of drinks and snacks, a toilet about 10sec walk out of the main cinema room.

Access Information
The best way to access Waiheke Cinema is off Korora Road.
Parking is located in the Artworks parking lot or the library parking lot. Additional parking is located roadside or down at the main Oneroa Carpark.
Longer vehicles would be best to park on a side street as most of the mentioned parking lots don’t have very long parking spots.
