Reserves

Waeroa Is a small grass reserve located in Blackpool. It has a seat, some mowed grass and concrete water drain. You could walk around this reserve is like 1min.

Shelley Beach Reserve is located down the middle of Shelly Beach Road, it has a publicly accessible fruit garden featuring pears, apples, bananas and more.

Putiki Reserve is a open grass section located at the end of Shelly Beach Road overlooking Putiki Bay. Waiheke Sea Scout hall named “The Ship is situated here.

Te Toki Reserve is a large open grass field located in Ostend. The reserve has many different paths you can walk, run, explore, walk the dog or even have a picnic.

Alison Park is a large grass reserve located in Oneroa. The park has large sculptures scattered around the park and paths linking from Oceanview Road to Mako Street.

For visitors with limited time, The Bunker Highlight tour visits Magazines, Gun Turrets, Passages and Art Galleries adventuring 200m into the landform.

Ostend Domain and Rams Clubhouse offer a wide range of activities and local league games. The domain has a Netball court and plenty of seating around the edges.

The historic Rocky Bay store on Glen Brook Road was built in 1924, then it burned down in 2003 and has remained a half burnt shell, that is all that remains.

Waiheke Skate Park is a pretty big skatepark with many features that has changed lots over the last 10 years. It now features a toilet, pump track and basketball court.

Rooster Reserve is a place where you can take your family/guests/kids to feed Roosters and Ducks, plus a few other species of birds. It is our local free petting zoo.

Onetangi Mountain Bike Trails are the main riding trails on Waiheke with some smaller trails and jumps at the skatepark. The Onetangi sports park features about 9 trails.
