Overview
Obee’s also known as Oceans best, says it all! Is a Restaurant/Cafe located in Oneroa. They also have a cart out the front, I think this might be for events or quick meals, Will look more into the cart on a busy weekend.
This was started mid 2025, they rebranded from Nomads to Obee’s.
At Obee’s they have seating available and looking at their menu they offer seafood related meals such as Obee’s Paua burger and Mussel burger plus fritters. But not only seafood, as they also offer beef burgers and chips, breakfasts and more.
Breads and cabinet foods are baked daily and they don’t use canola oil or any dangerous goods oils for cooking.
2025 Update
Went up to Nomads to see what was going on, would be 99.9% sure they are just rebranding to Obee’s, all the signage and menu has changed. They might still offer things off the nomads menu but I am not sure. We will have lunch up there in the next few weeks to get all the information.
The only reason a say it might not be 100% changed over is the fact they still have limited Nomads Signage up.

The best way to access Obee’s is either roadside or Oneroa main parking. If the parking lot is full there is parking on a side street. Longer vehicles would be best to park on a side street as the mentioned parking lots don’t have long parking spots.
Wheelchair access possible and moderately easy I would say as the shop has no big steps to gain access it is located on gravel though.

Thirsty Liquor Waiheke –Thirsty Liquor Waiheke is the closest liquor shop from the Matiatia Ferry, with a wide range of wine, beer, spirits, vapes, smokes and snacks.
Waiheke Library – Waiheke Library was built new in 2014-2015, it moved from next door where Waiheke Adult Learning is currently located. The newer building is about 800sm.
Shambhala – Shambhala sacred shop is a small spiritual shop based in Oneroa, that holds a collection of beautiful crystals, incense and candles.
Nomads – Nomads is a Terrace & Bistro Café/Restaurant it is located in Oneroa, it was created by two passionate hospitality workers that try to give their customers fresh, fun and creative dishes.
Oneroa Beach – Oneroa Beach also known as Big Oneroa, is one of the main beaches in Oneroa, is it situated walking distance from Oneroa village which is where you will find plenty of shops.
