Overview

Little Oneroa Beach also known as “Little O” is another popular beach in Oneroa. It is situated right across the road from Little Oneroa Takeaways and Little Oneroa Store, which makes it perfect for Fish and chips or grabbing a ice cream during hot summer days.

It is one of the most popular beaches, with its perfect swimming conditions, a BBQ area and a huge newly upgraded playground to keep young ones entertained. You will also find public toilets/changing rooms.

During summer month’s you can also enjoy woodfired pizzas, calzones packed with flavour made right in front of you in a small food cart located in the beach carpark called Dragonfired.

If walking, there are a few ways to access Little Oneroa Beach you can climb around the rocks from Big Oneroa at low tide, or there is a grass track at the top of Ocean view road Hill opposite Moa Avenue which will lead you straight down to the beach amenities or the other direction will take you too Big Oneroa Beach.

There is also a bus stop opposite the Little Oneroa carpark and others in proximity of the beach either direction.

There is plenty of carparking but be aware during summer months parking gets taken up quickly.

Key Access Points

From Ocean View Road

If driving or walking this is the main access road it is called Ocean view Road, it’s a long stretch of road, you will come across a small bridge intersection, cross the give way bridge and you will see Little Oneroa beach. There is a decent size carpark which gives you an opportunity to either park under trees or watch the waves. (It’s a Very popular Beach so parking can be hard to find during peak seasons)

From Ocean View Road (Walking/Biking)

Accessible from Ocean view Road opposite an intersection called Moa Avenue there is a small grass path which will lead you straight down to the beach.

From Big Oneroa Beach (Rocks)

If feeling adventurous during low tide you can access little Oneroa by climbing around the rocks from Big Oneroa.

Wheelchair Access
