Beachfront on Waiheke is a modern boutique apartment complex located in Onetangi with seven quality self-contained apartments opening out onto a tropical garden and footsteps from the sand.
Their beachfront apartments are just a short walk from local eateries and a convenience store, and only a five-minute bus ride to five renowned vineyards.
Their apartments have spacious interiors, quality amenities, and private balconies or terraces with wide views of the ocean. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, their accommodation provides the perfect backdrop for your stay.
Beachfront on waiheke was formally known as Onetangi beachfront apartments. Proud owners are Brian and Alison, Brian built a the Four Square in Oneroa, while Alison taught at the local school. Their journey into hospitality began on Onetangi’s stunning beachfront in the late 1990s, when they took over the Roanna Maree Motel, built six apartments.
Update 2025
In 2025 Onetangi beachfront apartments was renamed and rebranded to Beachfront on waiheke. It was taken over by the original owners after many years.

The best way to access Beach front on waiheke is in their carpark. I would say wheelchair access is very limited as many apartments are on the second story but there are lower apartments.

Onetangi Beach – Waiheke’s longest beach being over 2kms of beautiful white sand it is certainly a must visit. It is popular for surfing, swimming and just relaxing.
Charlie Farleys – Waiheke’s favourite Onetangi restaurant. It is a restaurant/bar with a relaxed vibe right on the beach front of Onetangi beach.
Beach store Waiheke – Located near beautiful Onetangi Beach, it is a morning eatery that serves delicious cabinet food, freshly baked pastries and Allpress coffee.
Ki Maha – A sophisticated restaurant located on the beachfront of our beautiful Onetangi, their menu consists of a balance of Aotearoa’s land and sea.
Four Square Onetangi – Located across the road from challenge and about 300m from the beach. It is a smaller scaled supermarket that sells everything you should need.
