Overview

Coastguard Waiheke is a local emergency boat rescue organisation, they respond to marine related callouts from accidents to recovery missions.

Coastguard will respond to calls if your boat is stuck, drifting, sinking, wont start or needing a tow back to shore. They also respond to storm related issues and medical emergencies.

They are volunteer service that rely on donations to operate. You can also have a membership that gives you some perks, the main one being free assistance 24/7 nation wide.

Coastguard Waiheke was formed in 1990. Initially created as a rescue arm of the Waiheke Boating Club, they soon grew into a separate Coastguard unit, and have been proudly associated with the New Zealand Coastguard Federation since 1997.

Their vision is to help everyone get the best out of their time on the water, safely and with confidence.
