Surfdale Boat Ramp

Overview

Surfdale boat ramp is a smaller gobi block beach launch ramp. It is just designed for cars/utes to launch smaller boats or jet ski’s through the soft shelly sand.

Surfdale Beach is the only south side beach with a ski lane. Commonly seen in the waters are jet skiers, sea tubes, windsurfers and wakeboarders having fun out on sunny days.

Parking

Parking is mostly just beachside and roadside on Surfdale Beach grass berms. There is room for maybe 4-6 cars with trailers, you just have to find a safe spot to park.

Boat Launching

The ramp is good at high tide or half tide, due to how the tides work on the south side of the island it will be very difficult to launch any other time than that. This is because you will have to drive 100 metres plus on sand to get a good launching depth.

Toilet Access

Yes, there is a public toilet available down by the playground and park in the reserve.

Wheelchair Access

Possible on the grass locations and reserve, but the ramp is fairly steep so you might end up in the drink.
