Waiheke has a few boat ramps to make it easy for boaties to launch off. Some are concrete ramps and others launch off the beach. Launching on Waiheke can be tide-dependent, so always check the local charts before heading out.

Shelly Beach boat ramp is a beach launch. It is very small and mainly for launching dinghies, kayaks and small recreational yachts like lasers.
Omiha Bay Boat Ramp
Omiha Bay boat ramp is a concrete ramp allowing access onto the sand and straight into the bay. There is plenty of space to turn a boat trailer around.
Surfdale Boat Ramp
Surfdale boat ramp is a smaller gobi block beach launch ramp. It is just designed for cars/utes to launch smaller boats or jet ski’s through the soft shelly sand.
Wharf Road Boat Ramp
Wharf Road Boat Ramp and parking lot is located down the far end of Wharf Road, you have a nice little scenic drive with ocean views on the left side.
