Overview
At the bottom of Surfdale you have The Middle a restaurant with takeaways, they have a range of food, from pizza, ribs, curries, burgers, fries and more, plus they have a full bar so you can order drinks and coffee.
They also do takeaways for most of the food they make.
The Mains are around $25-40, the starters are around $10-20, check out their website for exact prices and menu.
The middle used to be Stefanos many years ago, they have continued the theme of thin crusted pizza with unique ingredients. The Shop has been refitted since then and looks very tidy.
2025 Update
The Middle sold in late 2025 to a French buyer, they have updated the branding for the business, now calling it On Fire Steakhouse. The middle exclusive branding and name is now removed. The Menu will also change. The establishment is under full renovations to get ready for its grand opening in November/December.

The best way to access parking to The Middle would be coming from Ostend to Surfdale, that way you can pull into Surfdale lower carpark is only about 10 metres from restaurant that has access to about 20 parks and a toilet, this also includes disabled parking and e car charging. You can access the carpark form both directions but from the other way you have to cross the road on a busy corner.
For longer vehicles parking in front of the restaurant or up a side road would be best.
