PlaceMakers Waiheke

Overview

PlaceMakers are the only timber supplier based on Waiheke, they are a supplier of building materials and hardware, tools, landscaping, plumbing, paints and more.

Inside PlaceMakers they offer services for warranted tool repairs, bathroom and kitchen designs and paint mixing.

Placemakers offers special ordering, so if you need a product they don’t currently have in stock they can do that. Many orders will have free shipping depending on the supplier. In most cases building materials that are special ordered cant be returned or if they are will come with some kind of fee.

PlaceMakers has a large covered drive through timber yard holding a variety of wood options for contractors or DIY. Timber yard staff are easy to deal with. Be wary of operating forklifts.

When leaving the timber yard remember to keep your reciept with you, they check it at the exit before leaving.

Their large garden centre is slightly covered by shade sails. It is full of a variety of plants from fruit trees, herbs and vegetable plants to floral plants and native trees. Garden centre staff are never far, they are usually watering or restocking plants. There is a small office located inside the garden centre.

Potting mix and compost is located in the timber yard.

The best way to access PlaceMakers would be from either Ostend or Onetangi direction. Enter into the main accessway for the local businesses in the PlaceMakers parking lot. They have plenty of parking and a few disability parks.
