Overview
Lume Gallery is a new gallery located in Surfdale, it showcases art work from local artists and international guest artists and have creative workshops.
In the 1950’s the building used to be a butcher and has been many other businesses since such as a Jewellery store, Gallery Anomalous , Mataira Gallery and now Lume.
Proud owner and founder of Lume is Petra, The name Lume is rooted in a lifelong fascination with light. Growing up in the far north of Sweden, Petra experienced months of deep winter where the sun vanished.
Their mission is to champion the work of diverse creatives, fostering a vibrant community and serving as a dynamic space for creative dialogue and the essential exchange of ideas and experiences.
Lume is dedicated to changing how people view their own creative potential, helping people unleash it to forge new connections that drive the change they want to see in the world.
During Summer 2026, Lume will launch a limited number of Community Memberships. They will also host bi-weekly Walk-in Sessions where you can explore your creativity through various crafts, conversations, and consistent, meaningful encounters.
Most of their collections will have items for sale at various price ranges.

The best way to access parking to Lume Gallery would be coming from Ostend to Surfdale. You can pull into one of the road front parks, if they are all taken, Surfdale lower carpark is only a 20-30m away.
