Overview

Kennedy point pier is located near the Sealink ferry terminal, it is a manmade rock walled pier with a flat concrete path, you can fish on either side of the pier or at the end by the marker flag.

On one side of the pier is the Waiheke marina and the other is the Sealink ferry terminal.

Me and husband have mainly only caught small snappers and spotties here but its good fun for teaching young ones to fish.

If your around at night time fishing you may spot the blue penguin also known as a Kororā, they used to live in between the rocks but unfortunately were disturbed during the marina build, they may have come back now its fully established. Don’t get to close or shine your torches at them, there should be plenty of light around there.

If you don’t want to fish off the pier, there is a small boat ramp located near by for launching.
