Overview

The Esplanade fishing spot is located on the gravel road called The Esplanade, it has easy access and parking, you could actually fish out of your car if you wanted too.

The Esplanade is located in Oneroa/Blackpool on Waiheke and also wraps around to Surfdale. The main area to fish is closer to Surfdale entrance of the road there is a corner that has been allocated for fishing with a few seats to sit at, it can be quite popular for casual fisherman.

snags can also occur but that’s just the fun of rock fishing.

Please be aware of your parking as the esplanade is still a road and a walking/running path.

The best way to access The Esplanade fishing spot is enter onto Esplanade road from (Lannan road) in surfdale. The fishing spot is straight ahead on the first corner of the scenic road.
