Dumpling maniac is a popular takeaway dumpling and noodle shop located in the Putiki food hub, that is certainly bringing the taste of South Asia to waiheke.

They serve Nepalese, Chinese, Japanese artisan dumplings, noodles and soups, with non gluten and vegetarian options.

The owners originally owned and served at Smokeland BBQ Waiheke until they opened up a fresh new idea Dumpling Maniac which is food that is more their ethnic background.

They sell a range of dumplings filled with either chicken, beef or vegetables such as their Tibetan nepali momo or Syabhale.
They also sell prawn dumplings and Gyoza dumplings filled with pork and chives. You can purchase about 5-10 dumplings dependant on what you order.

Dumpling maniac closed its doors on May 25th 2025 to move on to new and exciting opportunities. Instead of disappearing completely you can soon find their delicious Momos in local supermarkets around Waiheke. They have put the shop location up for sale so time will tell what will take their place.
