Onetangi Tennis Courts

Overview

Onetangi Tennis Courts are free to use for the public and open 7am – 10pm, it features 4 tennis courts and some shade seating, this is a part of Onetangi Sports Park. On the lower side of the parking lot.

Waiheke Tennis Club commonly holds events there. They have over 60 members.

Rules Of Use

• No Cleated Shoes
• No Smoking or Vaping
• No Food or Drink (Apart from sealed drink bottles)
• No Swinging at golf balls
• No Dogs or Animals
• No Chewing Gum
• No Bikes
• No BBQ or Fireworks.

These Rules are to protect other users and the Tiger Turf. That is the matting you stand on when playing tennis on these courts.

Because the Tennis Court is part of a sports park you have access to some of the shared facilities like Toilets and Showers

Access Information

Pretty much the only way to access Onetangi Tennis Courts is through the main gate entry on Obrien Road, It would almost be 500m from Obrien Road to the Tennis Courts, so be aware if you are going to walk. If you are in a car/truck/bike, this only takes 30 sec or so.

The speed limit on the road to the Sports Park and Tennis Courts is 30km/h, also be careful of roosters and ducks on the road.
