Waiheke Connect opened to help all Waiheke Island based freelancers, entrepreneurs, creative, or remote workers that want to connect with others in the community.
Waiheke Connect is located in the Old Surfdale Post Office, they use the building as a co-working space on Waiheke, it still has its orignal signage for the Old Surfdale Post office which has been closed for over 25 years now.
Waiheke Connect became an incorporated society in January 2020, after informally operating for 3 years.
They organise events that are open to members and the wider community. This ranges from business focused professional development workshops to community-minded events and meet-ups focused on strengthening our community, local economy and work opportunities.
They want to make living and working remotely from Waiheke a sustainable option and support our island’s economic future.
