Sue Engels Shoe maker is a shoe making studio, that makes beautiful handmade bespoke footwear, tailormade and sustainable shoes & boots located on Ridge Road.
Proud owner and creator is Sue, she is originally from South Africa and left to find her own path in 1980’s. Which led her to London for a number of years, were she began a full time career as a shoe maker, using her knowledge and studies, she ran a bespoke shoe and leather goods business while also gaining guidance from many experienced shoe makers.
Making her way to New Zealand in 1998, she landed in Wellington her partners hometown and launched a small business called “Something Shoetable”.
In 2011 she moved to Waiheke and has been here ever since. In her home she opened a small shoe making studio, which is open to vistors by appointment
She makes tailormade shoes, boots, bags and belts. Another service is repairing, alterations and leather care treatments.
