The Hokohoko shop is a clothing store located in Oneroa. They sell clothing designs and blankets inspired by the Maori culture and language.
The shop is situated on a small street called Waikare Road, The building used to be Waiheke’s old police station many years ago. Now it is owned by Maori fashion designer Jeanine Clarkin, who started her label over 27 years ago.
Her fashion collections have been shown around New Zealand, international galleries and in a variety of fashion magazines.
In her shop you will find many of her exhibited fashion designs. Her collections are focused on repurposing/upcycling vintage clothing and making luxury blankets (Paraikete).
She sells a variety of clothing designs inspired by the Māori culture and language. You can also join her and upcycle your own collections during her Make N Model workshops.
