Putiki Reserve

Overview

Putiki Reserve is a open grass section located at the end of Shelly Beach Road overlooking Putiki Bay. Waiheke Sea Scouts hall named “The Ship is situated here. It is often used for boat storage and Sea scout activities.

The reserve is open to the public and has a beautiful coastal walking track leading to the point via Putiki Reserve loop track.

The beach is only 20-30 seconds walk from the main grass field.

Public toilets and a tree swing are located at the reserve.

Access Information

The best way to access Putiki Reserve is at the end of Shelly Beach Road. The road is dead end but at the end leads to the reserve.

Parking is limited but a few parks are available roadside.

Wheelchair Access

Yes, Putiki Reserve is wheelchair accessible or has limited accessibility. On dry days the paths are usually firm. But on wet day the grass could be to squishy or muddy.

Public Toilet

Yes, Putiki Reserve has a public toilet. It is shared with the Waiheke Sea Scouts. Was probably built because of the scouts as this reserve is pretty remote.
