Overview

Waiheke Sea Scouts is a youth adventure club located in on Putiki Reserve. Waiheke youth learn new skills, have an adventure and make new friends.

Their historic scout hall called “The Ship” is situated on Putiki Reserve overlooking Putiki Bay.

Their goal is to inspire and equip young people aged 6 to 26 with life skills: problem-solving; teamwork; citizenship; respect for the environment and for each other; healthy living; and more.

At Waiheke Sea Scouts youth go camping, sailing, rowing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, making new friends – all this and more.

The club is split into 4 main sections I will list below. As club members age the activities get more challenging with more team building activities.
