The Island Grocer

Overview

The Island Grocer is a gourmet grocery store located in Oneroa. They sell jams, fruits, vegetables, meats, cheese and a wide range of organic and gluten free food. They are big advocates of fair trade and spray free vegetables.

Many of the products are double the price of local non-organic shops, so they are going for a quality over price option.

They are locally operated and owned.

Looking at their Facebook they now do catering such as Lunchboxes, platters, charcuterie with international cheese selections. They also have locally grown, freshly shucked Te Matuku oysters.

In addition they’re café Merchants is located inside their building.

The best way to access The Island Grocer is off Ocean View Road.

Parking is located on the side of their building, these are 30min park spots that hold about 5 Cars/Utes.

Additional parking is located in the Oneroa carpark.
