Surfdale beach is a south side beach on Waiheke, the beach is best at half tide or higher. If you go swimming at low tide you will have to walk like 200 metres out to get to nice deep water.
The beach features a ski lane and a basic boat ramp, one of only two on Waiheke. The only one on the south side of the island. Making it the perfect spot for wakeboarding or ski biscuit fun.
The beach also has a nice grass park, with a smaller playground. This is a great family spot as you have a table with chairs, barbeque, toilets and half basketball court. So, you can have lots of fun in a single location.

From Blake Street
You can drive down Blake Street and park on the grass right Infront of the beach. This parking is best to get access to the middle of the beach. In the middle of the beach, you have a seat and a set of bins. Plus close access to the park.
From Lannan Road/The Esplanade
You can drive down Lannan Road and get access to the right side of the beach, this is the best side to get some shade from big trees and access to the cold shower and toilet. This side is a common spot for campers setting up. You have more privacy down this end
