Pearl Bay is a lovely privately accessed bay. To enter this bay is on foot via the walking track on Otakawhe Bay. This bay screams relaxation wrapped around it are many beach houses.
Pearl Bay is located in Orapiu. It is a bit of a drive out from the main parts of Waiheke. Orapiu is at the other end of the island. So if you are traveling out make sure to pack lunch and drinks as there are no shops available.
Pearl Bay can only be accessed via Otakawhe Bay located on Nepean Ave. Parking is found here. The bay has a private gated access for only residents of the bay on Hunterville Road. The bay can only be publicly accessed via the walking track on Nepean Ave. The walking track has many steps and rough terrain but once you make get there your in heaven. Head back the same way you came.
Pearl Bay sits in Te Matuku Marine Reserve. No fishing or shellfish gathering allowed here, but plenty of options for relaxation and water sports.
The closest toilet is at Orapiu wharf the lowerside of Anzac Road.
