Waiheke Retail and Services

Waiheke is a business orientated island. There are a range of retail, services and trade businesses based all over the island. Many Waiheke businesses rely on tourism and locals in order to thrive. Shops and services are the backbone of Waiheke. There are unique, original and a few big franchise businesses located around the island. Most shops are located in Oneroa and Ostend with a few located in Surfdale, Palm Beach and Onetangi. Shops range from gift shops to service stations to everything in between. Waiheke also has many tradesmen businesses, due to Waiheke being separated from Auckland Waiheke wouldn’t be functional without these important trade businesses and skilful locals. Some tradesmen come from Auckland but many are locally based.
