Overview

Blackpool beach is another south side beach on Waiheke found on The Esplanade. The beach is best at high tide. This beach is popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing due to it being exposed to southerly winds.

You will find some of the endangered beach birdlife on this beach nesting during certain times of the year such as Godwits and Dotterels. Please do keep your distance and keep dogs on leashes during this time.

The beach also has a small set of swings and a picnic table plus scattered chairs around to observe our beautiful beach and Huruhi Bay.
