Waiheke fuel prices have crossed over $4.00 per litre for 95 octane with 91 octane sitting around $3.80 per litre. These prices have gone up partly due to the price of crude oil going up to over $100 USD per barrel.

Supply shortages have been blamed due to a conflict. But because that is not based on or close to Waiheke, we can not and will not say for sure. As we have no way to 100% verify this.
We do know it is common fact that undersupply or excessive demand will trigger prices to increase and when viewing the local fuel stations there was a big increase of people not only filling cars/boats/trucks. But also many people filling multiple 20L fuel containers.
This is also the same with low demand, will drive prices down and make any reserves last longer.
