The Waiheke Butcher is Waiheke’s brand new butchery. They are bringing back old roots of a 1900’s style butchery with a modern take, serving a wide range of meats.
Oneroa is what you would call the capital of Waiheke, with the highest density of shops, over any other main region of Waiheke. In Oneroa you will find clothing shops , food establishments, medical centre, emergency services and much more.
Oneroa Beach is only about 200 metres from the main township. With a few walkways leading down to the beach.

Obee’s also known as “Oceans Best”. Is a restaurant located in Oneroa. They serve fresh seafood such as crayfish. They also have a food truck for easy to grab meals.
Mama’s kitchen Vietnamese is brand new cafe/food cart on Waiheke. Serving a range of Vietnamese food options. They are located just down from Pop Scooter in Oneroa.
V-Phix Mobiles is Waihekes phone repair shop. Located in Oneroa under the Oyster inn. They fix phones and sell a range of phone products and cables in store.
Sandy Bay is a surprisingly quiet beach with plenty of easily accessible rocks to fish off. Sandy Bay has parking, toilets and a small concrete/beach boat ramp.
Te Miro Bay is a little secluded beach sheltered by pohutukawa trees. Only accessed via foot, it is located below the Matiatia Headland Path. The bay is perfect for fishing.
Te Miro Bay is located in Oneroa/Cable Bay with views of Rangitoto Island. It is perfect for rock fishing and watching the ferries return or leave Matiatia Bay.
Coromandel Road is a residential street located in Oneroa. The road is a long windy coastal road leading towards Sandy Bay and Enclosure Bay.
Fisherman’s Rock is a well known spot on Waiheke for fishing. Located on the north side of Waiheke via Newton Road, it is a rocky terrain.
Matiatia main carpark is the largest paid carpark on Waiheke located near Fullers ferry terminal. Parking costs are either $3.50 or $6.50.
Skeleton Bay is located on the northside of Waiheke. It is a little bay between Sandy Bay and Hekerua Bay, it can only be accessed via boat or walking across the rocks.
Oneroa main carpark or “Oneroa back carpark” – that’s what most locals call it – is located behind the main Oneroa shops. Accessed via Oue Road or Weka Road.
