Overview
Waiheke Marina is New Zealand’s first island destination marina located in the stunning Hauraki Gulf on Waiheke Island.
Berth rentals range from about $2000-9000 per month depending on the size of the boat.
There was alot of conflict during the marina construction on the island, many Waiheke locals were unhappy about the destruction of our wildlife’s homes being disrupted which a strike was held on the platforms for many month’s. It was resolved after wildlife relocations were made but even to this day there still are some locals that dont welcome the marina.
The Marina has public access a public toilet and a few public carparks.
It is also in the process of welcoming a cafe in there floating cafe and function space, we will update once it opens.
Update 2025
A few new updates to the waiheke marina.
Parking Fee System – Any vehicles not registered with Waiheke Marina, that stay longer than 15 minutes, will be subject to parking fees. (Details below)
- Berth Holders – If you have not already done so, please get in contact with the Marina with your vehicle registration details to ensure you are registered for parking.
- Short and Long Term Berth Renters – During your berth rental period, if you have a vehicle located on the island you wish to use during your stay, please contact the marina prior to parking in the marina carpark.
- Visitors to the Marina – You can receive up to two hours of free car parking by scanning the QR code located on signage around the Marina car park. Once the two hour limit is reached, you will be subject to parking fees as sign posted within the marina.
Marina Pay now online – They recently changed their business structure at the marina and with that came new banking details and an upgrade to their online MarinaPay portal.

- 1x VW Passat Station Wagon 5 Seater
- 1 x Mazda Titan Front Wheel Drive Small Truck.

The best way to access Waiheke Marina would be towards the SeaLink building and pull into the driveway, they have public access and a few public carparks. Trucks and longer vehicles do not have any parking that I can see down at the Marina.
