The 3 Fishes

Overview

The 3 Fishes is a small fish and chip shop located in the Putiki food hub in Ostend. They serve delicious panko, griddled or battered fresh catch of the day fish and twice cooked chips.

Serving one of New Zealand’s favourite go to meals fish and chips. Of course this place is going to be popular and it certainly has been a hit on Waiheke.

On their facebook page they have daily updates of their fish of the day and menu changes. Or you can just go to their counter upon ordering, they have 3 easy steps to follow:

• Step One – Your fish and how many pieces.
• Step Two – Crispy battered, panko crumbed or griddled in flavoured butter.
• Step Three – Your sauce.

They cook it on the spot, usually can be 10-15 mins dependent on how many orders they have on the day etc. If you ask they can give you a rough timeframe.

They don’t just do fish and chips you can also purchase many other varieties of fishy classics and a variety of sides, drinks and even mini desserts pots.

Don’t worry they also have a gluten free option, just ask.

The Ocean View

The Ocean View is a cafe/Restaurant in the middle of Oneroa, they serve a range of fresh breakfasts, lunches and Dinner. With a full range of Spirits.

2025 Update

We recently went to The 3 fishes, there was some updates to the menu. So we ordered the $42 Seafood box. This was more than enough food for the two of us. They have also just announced that they will be launching a WET FISH SERVICE which means you can choose from a selection of Fresh Fish to be delivered daily and also Te matuku Oysters (See Launch information in gallery below).
