Mint As is a popular burger cart located in Ostend, next to RAW fruit and vege. They serve juicy beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian burgers plus taco’s and milkshakes all made while you wait.
Proud owner and chef is a well known Waiheke local Sarah, she opened her first little blue beach style cart 6-7 years ago. But it all started many years before that, by her cooking and serving delicious burgers at the local sports club. Her cart is the longest standing cart in Putiki Road.
She is always experimenting and dishing out new burgers and replicating New Zealand favourites. Such as the Kiwi Burger (Waiheke Dream), Big mac (Macc) and many others for everyone to experience.
Me and my husband love going and getting a burger from her little cart. My favourite being the chic joy burger who infact is named after her Nana Joy. She was a huge influence and support in Sarah’s life and career.
If you love crispy onion rings on your burger my husband certainly does, the American Dream is the one for you. Every burger and meal is different and all made with love and a friendly smile.

In 2025 their “Mint As Burger” has made the “Top 100 Iconic Auckland Eats” chart. This chart is a yearly list of all the top eats around Auckland, will do a update in 2026.
