Island Gelato

Overview

Island Gelato Waiheke is one of their five gelato branches around Auckland. They sell a range of flavours and sizes.

Island Gelato originally started on Waiheke in 2014, after many years they have opened a shop in Auckland City, Ponsonby, New Market and Mission Bay.

It all started after a trip to Sydney, trying many flavours of gelato they were inspired to open their own gelato store. That dream became a reality when they opened their first gelato cart next to Chances in Oneroa to later be based where they are today.

At Island Gelato they are constantly adapting, experimenting and testing new ingredients with having over 70 plus flavours and weekly specials. They offer a small cup, cone or try flavours on a wooden stick.

The difference between gelato and ice cream is the fat content, with gelato having about half the fat of typical Ice Cream. This can make it softer on the tongue but less creamy.

Wai Kitchen

Wai kitchen is a café/restaurant located in the middle of Oneroa Village, their menu consists of delicious breakfasts and lunches with their own edible floral style.

Bisou Cafe

Bisou Cafe brings a taste of Europe to Waiheke Island, serving up savoury and sweet crepes, freshly baked baguettes and pastries alongside Eighthirty coffee and fresh juices.

The Ocean View

The Ocean View is a cafe/Restaurant in the middle of Oneroa, they serve a range of fresh breakfasts, lunches and Dinner. With a full range of Spirits.

Surfdale Bakery

This bakery sells an assortment of hot/cold easy to go meals such as pies, sausage rolls, hotdogs, cordon bleus, sandwiches, fruit salads and sweet foods.
