Casita Miro Vineyard

Overview

Casita Miro is a restaurant/vineyard that is classed as Waiheke’s hidden treasure. Specialising in the cuisine of Spain and the wider Mediterranean rim.

Casita Miro is located off Seaview Road scaling above Onetangi Beach on a little road called Browns Road. Their driveway starts off as gravel but as you get closer to the restaurant the road becomes a beautiful paved/tiled road with a mosaic art wall on your left and their large 4.2 hectare vineyard to your right.

Proud owners are Barnett and Cat and their three children. Barnett focuses on the grapes and is also the very talented mosaic artist. His pieces are spread around the vineyard such as the mosaic wall and the bond bar. Cats main focus is the Casita Miro Restaurant and her delicious homemade focaccia bread. Which can be purchased at local Waiheke stores such as RAW, Island grocer and more.

Casita Miro is all about shared dining and their ‘tapas’ and ‘raciones’ (large plates) are perfect for a fun, relaxed and social dining experience.

They use the finest, freshest products from their very own organic kitchen gardens and sourcing locally wherever possible.

Wine tastings and a light tapas menu are available from their cellar door everyday.

They offer a tasting flight of five Miro Vineyard wines as well as a Sherry tasting showcasing a selection of their favourite styles from Sherry houses.

Surfdale Bakery

This bakery sells an assortment of hot/cold easy to go meals such as pies, sausage rolls, hotdogs, cordon bleus, sandwiches, fruit salads and sweet foods.

Bisou Cafe

Bisou Cafe brings a taste of Europe to Waiheke Island, serving up savoury and sweet crepes, freshly baked baguettes and pastries alongside Eighthirty coffee and fresh juices.

The Ocean View

The Ocean View is a cafe/Restaurant in the middle of Oneroa, they serve a range of fresh breakfasts, lunches and Dinner. With a full range of Spirits.

Wai Kitchen

Wai kitchen is a café/restaurant located in the middle of Oneroa Village, their menu consists of delicious breakfasts and lunches with their own edible floral style.

2025 Update

In 2025 their “Churros Con Chocolate” has made the “Top 100 Iconic Auckland Eats” chart. This chart is a yearly list of all the top eats around Auckland, will do a update in 2026. Congratulations Casita Miro.
