Goldie Estate Winery

Overview

Goldie Estate is a boutique vineyard and winery overlooking Putiki Bay. They are situated on 30 acres of land making handcrafted wines and delicious food.

At their cellar door, enjoy handcrafted wines, a delicious light food menu to accompany, and make memories in the famous vineyard settings. Head up to the hill to take in the iconic panoramic views of Putiki Bay and relax under the Goldie Pohutukawa tree.

In 1978 winegrowing on Waiheke was founded by Kim and Jeanette Goldwater and their knowledge and experience is what created their delicious handcrafted wines to this day.

Here you can enjoy a glass or bottle of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, syrah, chardonnay and viognier varieties.

The estate is also home to the University of Auckland’s Wine Science Centre, which aims to continue the spirit of the Goldwater family. The programme provides a unique learning experience for the students to be immersed in a fully operational winery.

This bakery sells an assortment of hot/cold easy to go meals such as pies, sausage rolls, hotdogs, cordon bleus, sandwiches, fruit salads and sweet foods.
