Overview
Island Gelato Waiheke is a branch of one of the many Island Gelato Shops around Auckland. They sell a range of flavours and sizes, you can either have a small tub or a cone, they also allow you to try flavours on a wooden stick last time I visited.
The difference between Gelato and Ice Cream is the fat content, with Gelato having about half the fat of typical Ice Cream. This can make it softer on the tongue but less creamy.
