Gear Grab is a hire shop located in Surfdale. We have a wide range of everyday gear. Our store consists of party, gaming, outdoors, household, tech and more.
It is our brand new business that opened in May 2024. Created by me (Jordan) and my husband (Justin). Being locals we know the struggle when you are unable to do everyday tasks without having to wait for delivery of items. Our shop was created for locals and tourists that only need to use the item once or to bring extra fun to Waiheke.
Gear grab started as an idea by my husband and then eventually became a reality.
Our store consists of party, gaming, outdoors, household, tech and more.
Hire prices are unbeatable and affordable for everyone.
It is 18+ to hire and license required. We are also open 6 days a week, Closed Tuesday. But we have 7 day returns available, just ask in the shop 🙂

2025 Update
More items in the shop, this includes products such as a nail gun, weed eater, 80mm Plant auger, more PS5 games, outdoor game, a powerful hedge trimmer, Ego post hole borer, 56V Ego chainsaw and much more. As far as shop layout or parking the shop is pretty much the same with Miami Ave just been resealed so the parking spaces are nice and smooth. Prices still remain fair and whispers on the street are big ideas are coming into action soon.

- Water blasters, carpet cleaners, window cleaners, upholstery cleaners, vacuum cleaners, sump pump, ego auger, jackhammer, weed eaters.

Parking is located in one of the eight diagonal parks in front of the shopping complex.
